Default New 2011+ Interior work in older JK's?

I love the new interiors after 2011 but not in love with the idea of dumping the 70k I have in mine to get it.. Anyone know if the newer interior (providing you can find parts) will be a direct fit to an older JK? Mine is an 08 and I am hoping to maybe find a total loss car or something of that nature to get rid of all my scraped up cheap plastic. And also sounds like a fun project! Any advice is greatly appreciated

I haven't seen anyone do it... yet. I'm they'll be a few bumps in the road, but I'd be very surprised if it couldn't be done. I'd get 80-90% (if not all) would fit in with out much issue. Not sure how the electrical/gauges etc would react, might need to get creative there.

You would need to do some digging, but two users have done it that I know of. However neither have really provided detailed information on how they completed. When asked they just said they bought the parts off eBay and assembled...

If you want to change out the Instrument panel (Dash) and don't want to do any custom work, then changing the Aluminum Reinforcement Panel Frame, Instrument panel then the smaller parts. The Main Frame has changed design and the Duct work has changed.
Console is simple change out.

Door Panels are simple also.
Finding Used parts for 2011 up on a Wrangler is not easy. Most parts i got on eBay from Recycle parts stores.

Good lookin' out! This is all great info! I'm stoked to get started on it. Already bought a few parts including the new shifter so I don't punch my wife's knee every time I throw it in reverse..lol Wish me luck!

I have a couple questions for the electrical experts out there..

How would I integrate the Automatic Headlights as I am replacing the dash with the newer one with the light sensor?

How to wire the Cruise Control on the new Steering wheel since the old lever would be gone?

Can the factory bluetooth mic be used for an aftermarket Pioneer Navi w/ bluetooth?

How can I wire the aftermarket Piaa Fogs to the factory switch with headlights?

This is what I came up with to get started.. Just don't want to be without necessary options when I tear it all out. Thanks!

Any updates here? I found this https://www.jk-forum.com/forums/jk-t...-143814/page8/ but I'm still looking for info on electronics conversions before committing.
