Default New 2013 build

I have been driving myself crazy trying to pick a lift. I just sold my 2008 with a teraflex 2.5" lift and 35's. I now want to run 37's on a 2013 2 door automatic I just picked up. I want a soft ride and plan to wheel it pretty hard, its not a daily driver. More rock crawling than anything I would say thinking 2.5". I have up to 3k to spend on just the the lift if necessary. Regearing to 5:13, artec truss pkg, atx slabs, flat fenders, EVO skids, VKS sliders and bumper. I have no brand loyalty just want what works.

I would check out Rock Krawler, I really like their 2.5 I have, and with their new triple rate coils they ride is nice, and they handle weight very well. RK seems to make some really quality stuff as well. As for gearing you might want to look at 4.88's, I think 5.13's might be a little overkill with the 3.6, unless your doing more wheeling that DD.

Yeah I think the 4.88 - 5.13 argument is valid. I think they are both great gears for 37s but I view them as the 4.88 is for people who have to DD but want a good gear for 37s that can wheel well, and the 5.13 is for people who want the best wheeling gear for 37s and don't put as many road miles on it. At least in the 3.6L

I would point you to metal cloaks game changer suspension with your choice of shocks for a suspension lift but I do have some brand bias lol

I really have narrowed it down to either the metalcloak or rock krawler... at this point its almost 50/50. I like the concept of the metalcloak joints but would like first hand experience. My concern with rock krawler is the amount of lift you get from their springs (from what I hear they seem to lift much more)?

The RK x-factor 2.5'' short arms system seems a good choice. MC is also good but more expensive.

Give also a look at Synergy manufacturing 3'' stage 3 kit is nice.

You could run 37 with only 2.5''-3'' lift and save you on steering/driveline issues.

So if I was just picking new springs 2.5" and shocks which would give me the softest ride?

I would give a try to metalcloak dual rate arb edition

I did try a jku with terraflex 2.5" and it is soft also with the terraflex shocks, way too soft for my taste.

The Rock Krawler Triple Rate and Metal Cloak dual rate are about the same ride quality.

The RK products are very strong and hold up to the beating we give them here on the East Coast. We have had people ask us if we are trying to break the arms at times. So far haven't had any issues with the beating we put on our JK.

RK has lifetime warranty on all hard parts and they have excellent customer service.

PM us if you would like to discuss any of the RK kits in greater detail or if you would like a quote.
