How are they breaking, under what type of load. How is the pattern? While the D30 is a pretty weak R&P on a heavy ass rig it's not going to rip up down the street (not that I'm accusing you of that. Need more history)
Good point. On another thread someone made the point that RCV's are so strong that they just might add to breaking the gears more readily.

It's the rear that keeps falling apart. I'm not a crazy driver but I do accelerate hard at times. Can't help it, lol. Sound cool with exhaust. Also pulling toys and merging fast into highway. Thinking of supercharger soon as well so want to make sure I'm good.

A point which I've tried to clearly address.

If you are blowing gears on the street it sounds to me like a very poor setup. What gear ratio? Are you fracturing teeth? Eating bearings?

Still need more info before I'd suggest new axles. Lots of wasted money.

The front ring and pinion of the 44 is really strong. We have not personally seen or heard of a front ring and pinion breaking.

The first install was really bad and trashed pinion and ring. Second round was done by someone that really knows what he is doing but 5k miles later the pinion has chipped teeth. He checked spacing etc and all is good. Tire is out of camber in rear as well. Guessing something from first install did other damage that affected second set of gears.

Agreed. This is a big reason Dynatrac came out with the PR44/60 hybrid.

Thats strange man. Do you have pics kicking around of the pattern? Teeth usually don't chip unless there is a high shock load, or extreme backlash (either too little or too much). Unless you're doing burnouts with the stock motor idk how the teeth are chipping.

Were the gears ever noisy?

And yes, gears making noise. Getting worse and worse. Will be at GTD tomorrow in Monson MA so hoping to ask around and see what others have. I believe some vendors will be available as well. Maybe some good deals offered
