Looking to put a mod chip in my 2011 jeep jk wrangler unlimited any tips would be great or tell me what I need thanks

 

Are you talking about the scam chips like the g-force? Or a real tuner?
If you want a tuner - sell your jk and buy a 07-10...

Do some research, but I don't believe any tuners have cracked the 2011's or 2012's yet. The $60 wonder chips are a complete waste of money.

 

x2 wait and research, wait may be up to a year before anything solid comes out now since they also have the 2012 to contend with and it's different than the 2011

 

i have a jet performance chip in mine and it works great havnt had a problem with it and got me some good power

 

I use the Procal Module on my 2011.

 

Depends on what he is actually looking for, since 'Chip' is kinda vague.

A Procal is a programmer, and has no tuning functions. Haven't looked at Jet, but I am guessing it is not a tuner either? And likely doesn't have the programming functionality of the procal?
--> And the g-force style (resistors) sure as hell aren't tuners.

If you want a tuner, wait for a tuner to be available for the 11's/12's. If all you need is programming functionality for tire height and gear ratio, look at the procal.

 

What do you want to do? If you magically want it to make up for the weak HP/torque so the JK can accelerate and maintain Interstate speeds like any reasonably powered vehicle, it ain't happening. Not even with the best chips/programmers/CAI/exhaust. As for chips, as already stated, not popular on the JK because (as far as I know) they don't allow any of the really useful features, like tire size. So, I recommend forget about chips and learn about programmers. After you accept that you want a programmer, decide what features are important. Some have an aid for steering wheel centering. Pretty much all set tire size (though range may vary). Some help set fan speed, etc. All claim increased HP/torque/MPGs/sexual stamina (okay, I lied about that last one), and all deliver just a little--some a bit more than others. And, as stated, this is for the '07-'10s. I'm surprised the '11s are still not out; something should shake loose soon.

 

Lol. The sexual stamina programmers come with free bottles of Vaigara. If you programming lasts over 4 hours, seek a professional mechanics help right away.

 

How long have you had the Jet chip, and which one is it? Any other mods, and what year is your JK?
