Default New Clutch?

Occassionally having difficulty getting into first gear and having to put it in second first. 2010 Jeep Jk with 38k on odometer. Is it likely the clutch is going already?

Is this from a standstill, or while moving? I usually don't shift into first while moving because the gearing is so low. It doesn't sound like a clutch problem though. If it is a syncro though, you just have to rev match.

This is from a stand still. If at a red light i take foot off everything and keep it in neutral until light changes.

Ya sounds like syncros. If your still under warranty look it up under service bulletin 21-002-12.
Edit: this was for 2011-2012 there should be one for 07-10 but can't find the tsb right now

For what it's worth, my jeep wouldn't/had a really hard time going into 2nd for a long time, nearly impossible in the winter. I read somewhere to replace the gear oil with penzoil synchromesh and no shit its shifted fine since then.

Jeep is 08, oil swap was mid 2010 and that's all I use now.
