ok so i saw this in one of the photo albums and i had to ask for help on how i could do this. i am willing to guine pig this as long as i can get some help with taking the parts off to paint

::EDIT:: I will be going body color will this, not the orange

FWIW that is the Rubicon King. You can tell by the Radio delete panel.

I have no knowledge of painting plastic. Wouldn't it be just like painting the trim bezels??? The airbag cover on the passenger side might be tricky to remove.

I really like that steering wheel.

agreed....that wheel is much nicer. i bet they update the wheel soon in the jk.

painting the plastic is easy... just scuff it up with some fine grit sand paper. clean it off with some degreaser dish soap. heat up the plastic with a hair dryer and then paint it with multiple light coats.

that pic looks good.

thanks for the advise bt i got one more problem, how do i take it off to paint it? or should i just use ALOT of tape

you could use a lot of tape and paper, but i wouldnt.

im sure its only a couple bolts here and there, shouldnt be too hard.

most of the front panel just comes off. it just snaps off.
