Default new drive shaft installed, need help adjusting

Hi, just got some tom woods driveshafts installed today and would like to know what to look for when adjusting the angle of the rear one. After taking it for a test drive I noticed that between 2k-2.6k rpm in 4th,5th,6th there is a shimmer when accelerating. I got fully adjustable top and lower control arms, but how do I adjust them?

Thanks
Ryan

I am curious to see some answers. I had a drive line shop make mine up and install them. I have no vibes what so ever. Maybe lucky??? I would guess you need to adjust your control arms some to make less of a pinion angle, but that is just an uneducated guess. How much less,??? its probably trial and error.

ok so I want less angle, so in a sense I need to turn the whole axle to make it more stright with the DS? So tightening the upper control arms is what I need to do it sounds like. I know the 2D is really finicky at the rear because its just so short, so maybe because you have a unlimited, didnt need to change anything. My front one went in without a hitch.

I got the 1350's went in no problem, I think you may want to lengthen the rear uppers to aim the pinion up toward the Tcase. If you go to the TWoods web site it gives the degree, think it need to be under 3*. Delivered were $1300.

your rear shaft needs to be straight with the axle, the difference between the axle yoke and the driveshaft needs to be within 2 degree's.

if its not you'll get vibs

Thanks!

It was like $850 front and rear, delivered from 4x4groupbuy, got them delivered about 10 days after ordering. Mine are 1310's, tom woods says these are plenty for up to 37's so I didnt see the need in spending a few hundred more for something I wont need. I think I understand what I need to do now.

Thanks!

He's right you should be fine, but Eddie just snapped his 1310's on 37's

here's a picture, this is a stock driveshaft, but you get the idea, the shafts straight with the yoke

Normal operating working angle is between 5-7 degrees.
