Default New front bumper.

I am in the process of putting on a Body Armor front bumper that eliminates the use of the factory driving lights, I have 2 questions. What have you guys done with the factory wiring from those lights. Did you cut the wiring off or just tuck it in some where out of the way and leave it. Other thing is, I purchased (for now) 2 Hella offroad lights, I was thinking of using the factory wiring from the factory driving lights to power the Hella lights that I bought. Is this a good idea or not. Thanks

Unplug the harness. Don't Cut! Save it for future. The Helas have to be the same rating or less to use the OEM circuit. You can install a new harness and use the OEM switch.

Ok I will just have to make sure that fuse will blow first so that the Hella lights wont burn up the wiring.

Oh then I will put a new wire harness in, the last thing I need is to burn something up or worse yet burn it down to the ground. I thought maybe the factory lights would be fused in the fuse box. Oh well just that much more time I get to spend with the jeep and away from the wife.

The lighting is monitored and protected by the computer. Most likely it would not let you burn anything up. But in many casas it has not let the system opperate.
