Lightbulb New Front Bumper - suggestions

After crumpling my stock bumper, I built one that I didnt do enough research on, so the tow hooks arent mounted well enough to really tug on, a winch is out, but there are some little 'd-ring mounts' that work great for tyin a canoe on top.

I have started on a second version using a dedicated winch plate (1/4") that ties to the stock mounting position, along with a laminated D-Ring mount that would mount the bumper also. This will utilize the stock fog lights too, and will have a hoop on it later.

Looking for anyone suggestions or nay-sayin too.
Thanks - Mike

here is a shot of the current/old one (version 1.0)

Not sure about the new cad one as far as fog lights go. Guess you will angle the brackets for attachment so they shoot are straight but I think you might struggle with shadow from the bumper angles. Other than That - Looks great! I like the larger D-ring mounts!

I was planning on using a 4" round to make a tube to butt up against the face of the light & use some sort of bracket like is on the on i made before.
I will try to get a better shot of the mounting area tomorrow.

That is where i have the most issues, is with mounting - not sure how the 'big guys' do it.

Default Fog light cut outs

What size holes did you cut for the factory fog lights? Did you use a plasma cutter? Do you have ant specs on the mounting tabs for the lights?

I am making my own bumper now and would like to reuse the fog lights. I don't have a plasma cutter but could take it to a shop.

thanks for any information.

On the new version, I would make sure that a winch will fit wile your in CAD. You may want to measure up your winch an make a quick drawing of it so you can see if there are any contact points were you may have interferance. I say that becuase of the blue gusits on each side of the winch mount look as though they could hit the gearbox and or the motor of a winch, depending on what winch your going with.

You may want to look at having the winch mount bolt into the frame at the back of the winch mount, in-between the the virtical box structures on each side of the frame that connect to the factory "bash-bar" (the ugly drop crossmember).

Other than that it looks like your on your way....
