New gears installed - pointers/tips?
Hey everyone...
I recently had 5.13's installed and would like to know anything and everything about the "break in" period on them and what other things I should keep an eye on and/or be aware of. I know I have to drain after 500-1000 miles and replace the gear oil. I already did the "cool off" period and don't plan on towing or doing any highway driving until I hit the 500-1000 mile mark.
Anything else?

Yea, I read mixed reviews on that. Some took it easy, some mashed the gas pedal.... both didn't have any negative outcome. As "non cosmetic" as the gear install is, I feel like a completely new person driving it....haha.
They are on! hahaha..... Just gotta take it easy a little since the gears are new. Give or take a week or so, I'll let you know.... Like I said in another post... I said im gonna be making some changes to my jeep in the next couple months....mind you, its ALL done already except for putting on my rear bumper and tire carrier, haha. So, the couple of months was really a couple weeks....
