uh... I take it you haven't seen all the stuff available on:

www.quadratec.com

www.4wd.com

www.northridge4x4.com

alljeepstuff.com[/url]

and many others... take a look there and then you'll be able to decide for yourself.

Depends how you offroad....ie. mudding/rock crawling, etc.

Do a search on here for the sideview mirror drill mod, doesn't cost a thing and keeps your doors from rusting or crudding up behind the bracket. Welcome to the Just Empty Every Pocket (JEEP) club and the JK forum. Be sure to visit the sponsoring vendor threads to find some great deals.

Im thinking more so mudding, as i would be kinda freaked out to roll my daily driver crawling, although i will crawl a bit. I just dont really understand the benfits of long arm lifts kits and such. Im thinking 35 inch tires. All i know is that my jeep cant be higher then 82 inches or it wont fit in my parking garage

Disregard my last post and start browsing here...

Get some more background on tires and lifts and gears and everything else before you make an impulse purchase. Once you start, it's way too easy to keep right going, so make sure you do it right the first time...

Definitely either relocate or protect the evap canister! There are reports on here of people getting theirs damaged by an errant rock on pavement. I plan on going with a 2" BB so that I can move up to 33's one day but am not going to go too crazy. Also either protect or rotate your sway bar disconnect motor. It hangs down in front and is a good target for rocks, branches and such. It's only "protected" by a piece of plastic. There are plenty of threads on here for bpth mods and they are pretty easy to do and plenty of kits available for them.

Have fun with your new JK, I know I am with mine!

There are all kinds of low cost mods, or things that can be done with no cost at all. If you're looking at a lift and tires, define a budget then you can get some worthwhile responses to fit your needs. Also, pick your destination as to where you would like to end up so each step of the way you aren't discarding parts and starting over at each step.
