i just took my newly lifted jeep out and it has 37,s and 4.10 gears and it goes pretty well. i can still do 85 or better in 6th gear. and i could hardly use 1st before the 37,s. but now i take off in 2nd and it isnt fast off the line but has no problem. i was going to go with 4.88 gears but now im thinking 4.56 instead.

Dang if you can do 85 with 37's then I'll be fine with 35's and 3.73 as I'll never go anywhere near 85 since it will just be for around town. This is very encouraging!

Your right, on 35's you hardly notice a difference around town. When you hit the highway for long stretches and even mild grades, thats when you'll miss the proper gearing.

I agree, with 35" tires and 6-speed, my Unlimited drives great. I have 4.10 gears and I won't be changing them.

4.56 with 35s will give you factory rubicon gearing (4.1/32s). I think most everyone here will agree, if you are going to regear get at least 4.56. 4.88 has been the best gearing (good power and fuel efficiency) for 35s on my other vehicles (dont have my JK yet). NOT saying you need to regear. But if youre going to do it, do it right.

I've got 5.13's and 35" tires right now. It's great having the extra pep around town and on the highway. Here are my recommendations.

Auto with 35's = 5.13's
Auto with 37's = 5.13's (or 5.38's when they come out)
Stick with 35's = 4.88's (or 4.56's when they come out)
Stick with 37's = 4.88's or 5.13's

FWIW 35's with an auto and 4.10's is OK. It is acceptable for on road and off road use, it's just a little weak on the highway.
