New lift and 37's question
So this is my first lift and I was told since I'm regearing my jk that I would need a programmer to fix the speedo and so that the ecu will acknowledge the gear change and shift correctly so I won't be stuck doing 30, it's just what I heard but I wanted to see if anyone else had an input, by the way it's a 2012 jk unlimited sport
Thanks!
Thanks!

stop being lazy and search........ its really that frequently asked and pretty much not hard to find.
uhh that's why this forum exists..to ask, if we all just searched no need for a forum...
in reply to the OP - yes, get a tuner like Procal, BullyDog or SuperChips to reprogram for new gears, tire size etc... and if you have an automatic, it'll readjust your shift points.
They also offer performance tunes and other functions depending on the Jeep model you have,

Then please enlighten me to why there is a search button on a forum?

Yeah search doesn't answer anything right? And no its because I earned my knowledge on jeeps by researching off forums, and google, and before all that was around, by hands on experience. By the way type just "2012 regear" into google and it pulls up over a 1000 pages of stuff. Or just Private message someone who has done it or says it "worked".

On the 2012 you definitely need to use a Procal or a programmer when you regear. This is because of the way the 2012-present rigs pick up the speed signals. If you do not use a Procal or a programmer after regearing your jeep will end up in limp mode.
