New to lifting need advice
Hey y'all, I have a 08 x unlimited- I want to put a 4" skyjacker economy suspension lift, 2" MORE body lift, and dick cepek FC II 35x12.50R17 tires on it. I was encouraged to get nitro shocks over the hydros, a drop pitman arm, and an adjustable track bar. Is there anything else I may or absolutely must get? Do the track bar brackets work in place of the adjustable bar. And finally... I've never had it yet it's still stock-- DEATH WOBBLE. That worries me because it's a daily driver (50,000 miles) and I have kids. Thanks for all the input I can get.

May I ask why your goin with that much lift for 35s.? I I were you, save the money and hassle and get a 2.5in lift. Once you really get past that, things start getting $$$$$. Just trying to save you some money dude.

Honest opinion here.... Why skyjacker??? I'd stay away from Rough Country also. Look at Teraflex, Rock Krawler lifts etc
Do more research on threads out here.... Then you'll get to know what lifts guys praise and the ones that fall short.

I put a 2.5 terraflex BB on my buds rubi , flat fenders and 35" falken wildpeaks, he goes everywhere i go and I have a 4" lift. He gets almost 2x the wheel travel and that's the idea with lifting a jeep. It's not about how high you can go. It's how you can make your jeep operate a cross a multitude of terrains.

A couple of locals here run the teraflex 4" kit with "flex arms" (yes I'm jealous and currently saving money lol), and they run 37's with flat or chopped fenders and don't rub at all when the wheel is fully "stuffed".
Hope that helps. And by the way, their jeeps with 4" teraflex kits w/billy 5100's ride 100x better than my rough country spacers/shocks BB kit on the road and on the trail.

Ya bottom line I was looking to save money, and that kit came with shocks. I'm actually kinda nervous because I don't know what I'm doing LOL. That's why I'm asking questions and started reading the forum.

Just for your information..... the Teraflex 3" with the flex arms lift kit and if you want to level out the front(get rid of the rake) will get you over 4" of lift...., with 35's you won't need to chop your fenders/flares cause there's plenty of room, too much almost. I have the 3" lift with 35's and love the chopped fender/flare look but haven't done it cause I'd have way too much space... I'll wait til I move up to even larger tires.
