I'll go against this. Stations that are strong in your area won't get affected, but you'll notice a way earlier dropoff as you leave town/scan to less strong stations than when you had the stocker. I don't listen to radio much and I broke my old one so its fine for what it is. But to say there is no noticable loss is nonsense.
yes, but when I am 60 miles deep in the Rockies from Denver, in a valley with peaks that are 10-14k', still getting a signal, it's better than the rubber after market. Essentially, cutting the stock, barely has an effect, if at all, on fm reception.
I like all the options, USB flash drive full of my favorites, mp3 cd of my current/newer favorites, the Bluetooth connection to my iPhone for the latest music plus podcasts etc and if all that fails satellite radio!
Oh yeah, there is the 4' firestix for communicating on the trail
