Default New Procal Question

I just got this yesterday and first was amazed at how small it is....

When I did the mods, TPMS, Tire Size, Daytime Running Lights, the horn beeped twice and everything seemed good.

But, the TPMS light went off for about 10 seconds and is now back on. The tires have 26 and I set the low end to 22. They should be off.

Do I have to drive them for a while so it will reset or do I have to just turn them off, don't want to?

Thanks for any help.

Double check your dip stick settings. Don't plug the procal in until all the lights except the engine light goes out. Plug in. Beep beep. Do not unplug. Turn key off. Then unplug. If this doesnt work try to set to 0 see if that works and don't let the wifey drive it.

It actually helps to read the full manual and not just look at the drawings........

"Some users have reported the TPMS indicator lamp staying on after setting the Low Pressure Threshold to a new value. The TPMS sensors use timed and pressure-loss triggers to update the vehicle of tire pressures. In the event that the Low Pressure Threshold has changed to a value equal to or higher than actual tire pressure, the tires must be inflated to at least 5 psi over the new low value. The vehicle must then be driven up to 10 minutes above 15mph before the TPMS sensors update the vehicle of the new tire pressure. Once the reported tire pressure is 5psi above the Low Pressure Threshold the TPMS indicator lamp will turn off."

Thanks all.

Okay, I still have a problem.

The TPMS light will not go off.

I called AEV and they said to set the pressure to 8 psi below normal and drive it for 2-3 days for it to reset. ????? So I set it at 20 for 28 normal pressure.

I also told him that everytime I set the pressures with the Procal it resets the radio clock to default, 12:00. He said, ":Hummmmm"

They don't know why.

Anyone else having an issue with the TPMS setting?

The Daytime Running Lights option works great.

I set mine to 0 and had no problems. I have a 2012 and the 2012 ready procal unit. Maybe you got a old one. It will say 2012 ready on the box. You should try to set it to 0 and see it that works.

Yes it is 12 ready and I will try the zero if this doesn't work.
