new rear driveshaft necessary?

Default new rear driveshaft necessary?

i was wondering for a 2.5" teraflex lift...Is it necessary to purchase a new driveshaft to realign the pinion angle? Im thinking i should. its for a 2dr....

Should be fine, 2.5" isn't very dastic, your front driveshaft seal could tear under heavy wheeling though.

I don't think 2.5" is enough to cause front drive shaft problems, and it would only be for the automatic transmission anyway.

If you have an auto, I'd keep an eye on it. However, everyplace I've looked in this forum the front drive shaft boot gets ripped on either the transmission (most common) or tranny skid if the lift is 4" or more.

My boot ripped on the transmission. My 3" lift was more like 4.5" in front, so that was expected.

you should not need a rear d/s with a 2.5" lift kit
