Default New Rubicon - wait how long to chip it

Is there a length of time I should wait before doing a Hypertech or Superchip?

It currently has 45 miles on it and its NOT my daily driver so I can see me doing the 91-93 Octane tune on it and keeping it that way...

Should I let the motor break in first, say about the first oil change/3K miles or does it matter?

Thanks

I'm running Hypertech on my 2010 and I have about 3100 miles right now. Installed it around 2900 miles. It was after I did my first oil change and a partial tranny fluid change (due to leaky pan from off-roading)

Mine is my daily driver but I don't drive a lot. Most of my miles have been from long drives to go wheeling.

I would at least wait until they had a chip for your 2010.

As the unit re-programs it anyway...I'm not sure if there's any other reason to wait.

Might be waiting for a while...eveytime I heard that 2010 would be supported by Superchips, it got pushed back. Now that answer I get is "we hope to have it by mid-summer"...that's a long time to wait for someone looking to improve things now. Hopefully the mid-summer thing is a worst case estimate but I decided to go with a programmer that already supports 2010. And so far, I am very happy with it.

Will I still try the Superchips when it comes out...sure will but the Hypertech is giving me the two features I wanted most, better mpg and a bit more power. And I didn't have to wait.
