Default New shoes!

Well, I bit the bullet and got new shoes for the Jeep. Jumped from 31" Mud Tires to 35" BF Goodrich AT KO2's
I was afraid that big of a jump would cause sluggish performance, but it didn't... you can feel a little more resistance on takeoff but ones you're going its quite Zippy!
Oh and I will not miss being vibrated to death. It's raining now but will post pics when possible.

Usually the top end is what wears ya down if overgeared. Losing 5th gear, or constantly downshifting on the interstate to pass or fight a headwind is the sort of thing that stinks. Most people just get used to their own "normal" and forget what the engine and transmission should feel like when geared properly for the tires. I've been on 35s with 3.73, and 4.10s, and 37s with 4.10, 5.13, and 4.88, so have a decent idea of what things feel like.

I just got a throttle controller from Amazon and it made a big difference in my book. You may really benefit from something like that with 35s. I just have 285s.

I'm not sure what the PO did to the Jeep before I bought it. I have been learning what they have installed, But the way it runs I believe the throttle has been set by a throttle controller.
I use the JPSCAN to set various things on my Jeep.

It really depends on your factory gearing. I had 35's on my 1st JK with 4.10 gears and it wasn't terrible.
