What diameter is it where it gets reduced down to the threaded portion?

The DOM is 1 1/2'' in diameter and the wall is 1/4'' thick on passenger side they welded in threaded sleeve with jam nut to accept 1 ton dodge ram tie rod, the drivers side there is adjustable sleeve with same 1 ton tie rod, in this setup if something goes wrong ( unlikely ) all parts all available at any autoparts.

They look good, but seem a little pricey.

Default Quality

1 5/8 solid rod bends like the stock one thats why is cheap, doesnt come with damper brackets and no tie rods, if you bend down under your jeep and see the geometry of your steering rod you will understand that strait bar has to have offset tierods to clear your diff. and other components, SO long offset tierods create weak points and full rod just doesn't meet DOM tubbing. If you looking at price only keep yours stock if you need hardcore this one is to be abused.
