Default New Tire& Wheel Width Advice??

Im looking to invest in some new tires and wheels.
I have decided on 33" tires with the Craiger Soft 8s.

When i need advice on is if i should get the
wheels 16x7 to fit 33x11.5 tires on it,
or if i should get the 16x8 to fit the 33x12.5 tires.

Im in college out in santa fe, so the extra 250/300 dollars
does actually matter.

Yet, i also do alot of off-roading out here, so heres what i need advice on

Should i just go for it and get the wider tires? or does the extra
inch not really make that much of a difference, and ill be ok
with the 33x11.5s

thanks!

Go with the "narrower" tire. The extra width helps on soft stuff, but airing down will increase your contact patch too. You'll still get all the obstacle clearance of the wider tire. Less likely to have rubbing issuse with equal back spacing. Keep your stock wheels & funnel that money into an additional mod if you want to keep your costs in check.

I'd go with the wider tire, 12.50", and the 7" rim. You patch will be wider and when you air down your chance of losing a bead will be less.

if you do a lot of driving on the street, i.e daily driver, to narrow of a rim causes the tire to buldge. Causing irregular tire wear. Airing down to correct this will cause premature wear. But they say a narrow wheel off road acts as a bead lock when airing down.
