Wrangler Ralph, I think those SRT's are wrapped in Mickey Baja's on the Quadratec website, that's where I got the idea from, it is a sweet set up, keep hearing a lot about those General Grabbers also, well got a lot of good info, will go with something in the next couple of weeks, thanks to ask those who positively contributed to this thread.

It's always the same 'reasoning' ... "20's are too big" ... "you can't wheel with 20's" ... "mall crawler" ... "does that thing ever see the mud" blah blah blah. Just find it sad and pitiful that someone would actually take the time out of their day and "hate" on someone else's Jeep mods. I started one thread inquiring about 22" beadlock wheels and the BWRN's were in full attack mode.
I'll play. After three years, and with that narrow-minded view of this forum, why do you come back? I'm not telling you to leave (it's not my place, for one, and I am all about morale), just curious as to if you have such a negative mindset, why continue? Glutton for punishment? I ask with 100% sincerity. The first thing I would expect when coming to a Jeep forum is that the place is going to be riddled with purists. I think that is where you are butting heads. You may find it sad and pathetic that people will hate on you for your vehicle choices, I am sure you can find it in your heart to ignore those people and embrace the limited fresh air provided by those who partake in your aesthetic preference. In short, you shouldn't be surprised that people hate for the sake of hating, especially on a message board. Step out into the real world, outside of Southern California, and you'll find that what you see here is reflective of an ugly (real) world. There are quite a few people on here who support your decisions in doing whatever you want to your vehicle, I am one of them. You may not have wanted the scope offered by this consortium, but that is what you get for posting in a public manner. Take the good with the bad, pal.

If I recall correctly, the thread you are mentioning is the one where I noted looking at OMF Performance and what they may be able to source for you. You're playing in a kiddie pool when it comes to wheels of that size, especially beadlocks. If you understand your limited marketplace, you may have to get creative -- this is coming from a guy who is tired of the silver/gray/black wheel offering and decided to spend a small fortune on having 17" beadlocks coated in bronze. Make your own road if you don't like what is already carved into the landscape.

In close, the next mod you seek out should be thicker skin -- take pride in your decisions, screw those who cannot respect such. I mean that with all due respect.

I do love the look of the Rockstars but was looking for something lighter (it's one heavy wheel) and with a similar but simpler design (again like the Hurricane wheel where it's basically just a six spoke concave wheel).
How much are you selling your wheel setup for?

Amen Jeep Mojo! You maybe from the backwoods but I can tell from your post that you are a positive, open-minded person. It's those select few "haters" that give the backwoods a bad name. I personally wish for a world where people of all Jeep wheels sizes big or small can Jeep together in peace.

So they do make a hum on the freeway hmm yeah I'm looking to avoid that completely or keep it to a minimum. As for my lady friend lol that was funny, no I'm single but date a lot (found out that I'm in it for the hunt rather than the kill, anyone else feel that way?). Been on a couple of dates that required long drives and with the road noise I typically just turn up the radio but then if we want to talk we're yelling at each other and it's a little awkward when that happens. I can sacrifice the looks of the Muddies for the comfort of an all-terrain.

Hey Mojo... I noticed you have the Or-Fab spare tire carrier, how do you like it? Thinking about moving on one of those as well, right now I just have the reinforcement brackets on with my trailer hitch ball spun upside down as mine spare tire carrier lol.

As for why I continue to come on here... simply put 90% of my experience on here is positive. I actually owe this forum a lot for the information and opinions it provides. This forum has saved me a lot of headache, grief and money over the years so I'll deal with the 10% of dipshits for the 90% positive return. Sorry not from Southern California (but I do love it here) been here for about a year now, originally from NYC also lived in Texas, Korea and Africa (military brat) so I'm pretty well adjusted to the real world. I do also hold a PhD in sociology FYI so I understand people and social phenomenon better than most. What you call purist are really the uneducated, conservative, negative class of people that exist within every race, ethnicity and culture; unfortunately so. I'm sorry if I'm a humanitarian that sincerely wishes for a more educated society. I'm not talking about book smarts, I'm talking about real learning, learning about each other and our differences and embracing those differences.

I come on here to talk Jeep stuff and share stories and information and crack jokes about anything and everything Jeep related, not to get attacked because I like big wheels. I have my own opinions as well, there are a lot of rigs and or mods that I see on here that I don't agree with but have not once commented negatively about. Wish everyone would just do the same. Just trying to make this world a more positive place, one Jeep forum at a time

As for the OMF beadlocks, I've been on their website and do love there beadlocks but not a fan of any of their wheel patterns. The only beadlock wheel I found that I like was on an RC Truck (comes up in a Google search of beadlock wheels, I believe it's a Traxxas Summit). Would definitely go with it if there was a real size version of it. It's exactly what I'm looking for, 6 prong concave design (I'd get it in Black) with a red beadlock trim to go with my Flame Red JK. That would look sweet IMO.

If (when ) I go with 40" tires, I'm doing 20's. I'll roll up next to that 82' Buick with 22" spinners confident that my bling is straight fershizzle.

To the original poster, I think your ride looks good the way it is, screw the 15" rim, balloon tire crowd. They like what they like, you like what you like. 20's on 35s look good, just around here in Colorado, we'd do too much tire pinching with that setup and be cutting sidewalls nonstop. That or just plain rock rashing the holy hell out of expensive rims all the time.

Thanks and yes I do realize 20's are not good for wheeling and a wheels that big would get torn up but I don't wheel much. As I stated before my Jeep is more of a travel vehicle more than anything, just need it to get me up the mountain and to the trail preferable with the top and doors off.

With all my intraweb surfing I eventually stumbled upon this video, anyone else seen this airless tire?

Not that I would get it for my Jeep but I do like the progressive thinking; very interesting...
