Default Newbie shocks and spring question

Hey all… new to the forum and could use a little info. I am wanting to eventually get 35" tires. I have a 2010 JKU Sahara. Had it since may and am really enjoying it! So far my mods consist of superchips, pioneer touch screen, tinted tails. My question is… Can i achieve enough clearance by simply upgrading to Rubi 10A shocks and springs to clear 35" tires… I know a lot of people say you would need to re-gear the rig cuz it's slow as s*** but for now i'm doing one thing at a time. Any info is greatly appreciated and i'm sure this has been asked before so if someone has a link to the info or their own input, be greatly appreciated….. THX

you could do that fine, but you will still have to cut your stock fenders to make them fit i believe. You possibly also would have to change your bumpstops depending on how high you cut your fenders and how much bigger the 35s are than your current tires.

It also depends what your current spring numbers are as well as the new spring numbers. This is the last 2 numbers on the tag of the springs. Bigger number= taller spring. You will get more lift by making a big jump up in numbers and less lift by a small difference.

Two inch bump stop extensions or trim the stock fenders. Don't forget to trim the pinch seam.

probably better off going with an inexpensive budget boost over springs. not going to get much lift from factory jeep springs on a jku

So gunna try and get peoples opinions...I'm wanting a small lift (2" would be good). I'm wanting to put 33-35 tires. I don't do much offloading but would like a more capable vehicle when I do.. What would be the most cost effective lift i should go with.. What's the best companies and personal experience with the lifts.. THX

My advice-

For 33s get the Teraflex performance leveling kit or similar.

For 35s go with a 2.5" spring lift.

I've got the Teraflex 2.5" on my '12 JKU and it clears 35s nicely.
