Default Newbie with tire question

Hi everyone, I have a new to me 2011 2dr sport I just ordered Pro comp extreme 7105 17 inch rims now for the rubber this will be my DD soon and I travel 50 miles per day and 30 of that is on a highway, I plan on doing a 2 inch lift down the road but for now I am keeping basically stock, since I am new to the jeep community and off roading I am trying to get a tire that is both a quiet riding highway driving but also a decent off road tire. I do not plan on doing heavy duty off road at least not right away, I having doing some of the low cost have to do mods and I am loving it this is an awesome forum and I am enjoying the crap out of this Jeep and can't wait for the first off road experience

Thanks

Mickey Thompson atz p3
Cooper ST Maxx
BFG AT KO
GY Duratrac

All are quiet AT tires. Any MT tire is going hum. How much or how bad is subjective to the driver.

I ran 33" Falken Wildpeaks for over 30k miles as a daily driver/part-time rock crawler and they worked great. Sold them with about 50% tread life when I upgraded to 35's. Super quiet on the road and wear great. If I did more snow driving, I would have gone with the GY Duratracs.

If my JK was a DD I'd go with a Falken Wildpeak or the TOYO AT2. I love my MTs but I dont drive everyday and usually not very far when I do.

Cooper AT3's or if you want something aggressive but still quiet and road friendly, Mastercraft MXT's

I DD mine 35 miles one way with no top or doors most of the time and run BFG mud terrain KM2's, they aren't very loud but do hum a little, I was a little worried about them being loud because not much annoys me more than loud tires.

Thanks everyone for their advice I think I am going with the Goodyear Duratrac I am up north and if this year is half as bad as last year I need the snow traction. If....,,more like when I get the Jeep set up more for off road I will put some MT on the old factory rims and swap them out when HD Wheeling is called for

Well I ended up with General Grabber AT2 these are my second set first I went with a 255-70-17 they were just to small General had a 30 satisfaction warranty so I swapped them out to LT 285-75-17 that puts the overall tire size a little under 33 rides great low noise just what I was looking 4 as for off road yet to be determined

ID:	572964round tire even in the snow. Only bad thing so far is they have a tendency to pick up stones. I would hate to be behind me after a gravel road.
