Default Newbie, what type of lift?

Hi, I'm new to the forum and have owned every type of jeep just about!! Just got a JK X 2 door and want to start modifying soon. I was wondering what type of lift I should go with, coil spacer or full suspension kit. I don't plan on going too much bigger on tires but I would love to get it a little higher in the air for creek crossings and such. I play in the Ozarks and its got steep trails and some off camber stuff. The biggest tire I want to run would be a 265 70r17.

Based on your type of driving and tire size you could get away with a budget boost (spacers) for sure. Lots of companies make them. I would recommend a kit that has shock extensions for sure. But there are some really nice 2"-2.5" coil lifts that would give you more flex but like you said you may not need that. Welcome to the forum and let's see your JK!

Thanks!! I've seen those budget kits and wondered how good they'd be for what I want. I had a TJ last and did a suspension lift and it about broke me with all the little extra things that had to be done to make it work proper, so far I love this JK and feel like its gonna be a great Jeep to play with. I'll post pics as I get something new!!
