Default Nitto Grappler AT Recommendations Needed

Discount Tire Direct has a pretty good deal on a wheel/tire combo with these Nitto's as the primary meats. They score 4 out of 5 on just about every review I have seen and they look better than the BFG AT's, so I am almost committed. Anyone have comments about the tire - Good, Bad, Ugly?

Thanks

I had them on my TJ and I took it wheeling all the time. Loved those tires!

I had the Trail Grapplers for a while and loved them. I dont have any experience with the terra grapplers which I think at the A/T's, But I've seen a lot of people running them. Seems I heard something about the tread life not being very long but I may be wrong.

Yeah I heard the same thing on miles, but some suggest to run close to max psi as possible (65psi) on road. Thanks

I had the terra grappler's on my xj, they were excellent tires. No regrets on the purchase, great tough tire that did alright offroad.

I am switching over to the bfg km2 though on my current jeep. It's a little louder but I think a far superior tire offroad.

Unless you're running a 3/4 ton truck,you don't need near 65 psi.

I've had the Terra Grapplers, and was very impressed. Excellent wet, snow, and dirt traction and they rode and handled well also. Not real good in serious mud.

I've also had a few sets of BFG A/Ts. IMO the Nittos are a much better tire than the BFGs.

Default very happy with my Terra Grapplers

about to cross 25K miles on mine and no issues. got a really good deal on them and some soft 8s from discount tires direct. very happy in the maryland rain & snow. plus they get me in and out of trouble in rausch creek. i've got 285/75/16s.

my only wish is that they have a little more "fat" looks to 'em like MTs.

Thanks for the advice - Just looking at the reviews on Discount Tire Direct, some suggest that running the tires too low will cause premature wear and most report 30-35K of life before replacing. How many miles do you have on yours?

I was looking at the BFG AT's as well as Hankook ATM and the Nitto's look much better.
