dude just take the tires back to the dudes house and light them on fire...that will get his attention. Then when he comes out whoop his ass or slash his tires....sorry I'm mexican, that's how we roll....Just kidding..... It was a 250 dollar gamble...brush it off, it could have been worse.

You could always sell them on the side of the road and get some money back.

Then go punch him in the face.

it sounds like this is a common thing for those tires I've seen what you're talking about.

I cleaned them off and looked closer it's only two of the tires that have the cracks so I figured I'll just buy two new ones, just wondering though I know your not suppose to run say 33's in front and 35's in back for example. Would running tires with 100% thread on the front and some with 75% thread on the back be a problem?

P.S. Try and get some pics

I have a habit of popping tires and run them like this with no problems... sometimes less than 50% and new tires. I just keep the two new in front and rotate them together.

From what Nitto said its common and only superficial..... I would run them and laugh at how cheap i got them... Unless you know someone at the tire store I wouldn trust them. They will play it on the safe side for liability reasons and tell you they are bad or just too sell you a new set. I say runem !!!!!!

Those aren't cracks they are cuts. Looks like the previous owner got hung up in a rut and tore the side lugs on trying to get out. By chance do you know if they were ran on a large truck before?

My Grapplers had all kinds of hairline crack, similar to what you see in a dry rotted tire.

They should be okay to run, just keep an eye on them.
