it's all cool...

I must have taken it the wrong way. I assumed (like a jacka$$) that you were telling the other guy that I was just wrong. I bet you are right and they are a much better tire for Jeep than a truck with 900+ ft/lbs of torque. Not to mention the damn thing weighs nearly 9,000 lbs...

Yanks or Mets?

Fact. They are 125lbs a piece mounted n balanced at 32 psi (shipped freight and weighted seperatly)

Fact. They make a TON OF NOSIE (it sounds like a small prop plane at high speed) and its FREAKING AWESOME!!!

Fact. They are INSANE in the mud they clean like maids and they eat up mud like those people in woodstock that eat mud for three days tripping on acid.

Fact. They wear propper if you drive propper and take care of them... I got 4k in miles on them... and I still have the damn nubs on the sides of them and on the outter ring of the tread lugs its almost all gone but after 4k at 28 psi thats pretty flipping good...

Fact. if you get load E they are going to be HARD as in at 32 psi they are going to bounce alot at 28 not so much... but its something you should know.

at 28 they run nice and smooth like the stock rubi tires *not that thats benz soft but you know what I mean*

Not a fact: that guys whole post about nittos suck.
Agreed

I have 37x13.50xR18 and they are wearing well, but you have to rotate them. Just because some ass clown with a heavy, Jacked up, Ford or Dodge douche canoe, wore the sh#t out of them bc they never rotated the tires, shouldn't encourage your decision unless you are indeed, a douche bag too. Mine ride well at 28-30 psi, balance well, and are extremely puncture resistant. I have had at least 6 nails stuck in them and only one of them required a plug.
They are AWESOME in the rocks. I tested them at Moab and they performed really well.

They are "loud", but I get so sick of dick knuckles whining about how loud a tire is...so STFU and grow a pair. It's an insanely aggressive (and still the meanest looking) tire, what do you expect. Just pretend you're in a twin engine Cessna or change the sat channel to "Octane" and turn up the radio, plus they drown out your annoying girlfriend and encourage her to do other things rather than talk.

Can we get back to the point of the thread? I am still looking for a reliable source for the weight of this tire. Thanks

no problem...

One way that might help is if you find out the weight for 18x9 rockstars and subtract that from 125 give or take... some for weights and air pressure and valves and things...

Is there a reason you need to know the EXACT weight ? like for a tire carrier or something ?

well, I am concerned about unsprung weight. I am doing either the 5:13 or 5:38 gears with the 37s and I pull a trailer. So, I'm worried if my tires are too heavy, its going to be that much more of a drag on highway power and mpg's. Plus pushing that meat offroad leads to broken driveshafts and axle's, right?

Don't need to know the exact, but most of the tires are within 20 lbs of eachother. But that's 25% of the weight of the tire.... Anyway, just trying to get a light tire that looks sweet and performs well. So far all the ones I like the look of are heavy! damn. The Toyo's are 20 lbs heavier than the BFG's or MTR's.

Anyway, I'll check on the rockstars, thanks!

these along with gears will perform great! but if you are looking for a wheel to mostly tow at high way speeds i myself (a MG lover) wouldn't recommend them as they aren't the most aerodynamic tire out there.

if i was in your boat i would probably opt for a KM2 or the new MT Kevlars
you're going to find the weight of the MGs right up there with the Toyos

AR Rubicon
.... just out of curiosity, what psi were you running your mud grapplers on your truck?
thanks, no need to weight them. I agree, the specs on the MTR kevlar seem to the best for my needs... I just hate the way they look. to balloon round-ish. I love the square look with big lugs. Guess I have to decide if I want to sacrifice highway performance for the look...

I guess I am alone in the thought that a M/T is pretty much an M/T... if you get a big one... it is gonna be heavy.
