Default Nitto Tires

It looks like all the Nitto trail grapplers are Load range E

Thats too thick isn't it? I was planning to go max of D.

I'm going the other way. Currently D and dropping down to C. I'm tired of the rough ride and I want the tires to be more compliant aired down in the rocks. Not a fan of running heavy truck tires on a 4,600 pound Jeep.

I wonder why Nitto only makes E Load tires for trail grappler. However the mickey thompson tire I like is 3195@50 and listed as load D

and the Nitto one i like is 3195@65 load range E

Do you care about ride comfort or the tires conforming to the rocks? What are your off-road terrains like?

I run Load E Toyos and I prefer the thicker ply for where I wheel. And my butt can't discern between a Load E ride or a Load D ride. If you're worried about ride comfort or sidewall flex talk someone into letting you ride in their Load C/D/E set-up.

thanks - first im concerned about sound fitment of a 17x8 wheel onto a tire that recommends 8.5 rim width minimum on a 35" tire that is 13" or 12" wide

I posted up in your other thread (17x8). I ran 17x8's with a 35x12.5 tire that the manufacturer stated 8.5" minimum rim width. You'll be fine, I ran them for a hard 16000 miles. The only thing I would be wary of is dropping the psi below 10, especially in hot weather, you may slip a bead.
