Default Nitto tires

Does anyone have nitro terra grapplers on their jeep? Just got a price for 289.00 each and was just wondering how they rode and if that's a good price for 325/70/17. Any comments or pics would be great

I had those on my dodge ram before i traded it in for my jeep. I thought the tires sucked big time. I got stuck in some wet, muddy grass. Not even deep mud, they seem to pack with mud very easily and dont clean out worth a damn. In other words im looking at tires myself right now. But i wont look at anything that says Nitto on them.

I had a set of 20s on my F250 Powerstroke 4x4. Rode great and can be had for a good price. Any AT tire won't do well in mud but I never got stuck in mine.

Looking for a set of 34s for my JK now.

I have two buddies who had the trail grapplers and they blew out on the road. others with funky wear on them and not to mention they kinda sucked out on the trials. Sure if you do get a smokin deal i would say go for it but as far as tires go i do believe in you get what you pay for. Too bad tires cost so damn much tho lol

The Nitto Terra Grapplers are one of the best all terrian tires available. I've read 100's of reviews on them by truck owners that praise them. But as mentioned, no all terrian tire is gonna work great in the mud. Just like no mud tire is gonna perform as well on pavement as the Terra Grapplers.

I find it very hard to believe that two people you know both had blow outs on the street without them having something to do with the tires also along with funky wear. Every brand has their bad apples. My trail Grapplers by far have been the best tires I've owed as they have saved me a couple times now in some crazy situations. One being on the side of a mountain and I had nothing but the sidewall tread grip to help me up and save me from going down a ledge. I've made a couple new trails of my own running over big mesquite bushes(and if you've seen those, they have about 2"-3" huge thorns) and other crap and had nothing happen to my tires. I'm definitely getting another set once these wear down. I have the Terra's on my wife's commander and they drive awesome. I also had them on a Denali truck I had before my rubi and they drove great on and off road.

Since you're looking at the Terra Grapplers, I assume you're wanting AT's, but I'm running the Trail Grappler MT's on mine, and they're awesome! They clean out very well, and have bitten on anything I've pointed them towards. A couple of weekends back, a group of us went wheeling, and there was one particularly bad spot, a bank coming up out of the river, and only 4 of us tried it, and only 2 of us that did, made it out. One of the ones that did not make it out, was a Rubicon JK with 4" and 35's, not really sure of the brand. Mine with the Trail Grapplers came up without hardly even spinning at all, just but and came up and out.

Are you sure you're not talking about TERRA Grapplers sucking off road, instead of TRAIL Grapplers? The wearing problems more than likely were associated with worn parts, or misaligned front end, but like I stated above, I've ran boggers, swamper SX's, SSR's, KM2's, regular BFG Muds, and destination MT's, and my trail grapplers bite on anything as good as all of those did, with maybe the exception of the Super Swamper Boggers, which is the best mud tire made, IMO, but they are also the loudest and ride like they're square, until they warm up...LOL. If you run Boggers on anything, forget the radio, you can't hear it, but they'll sling mud to the tree tops! At any rate, I'm loving my Nittos.

Trail grapplers? Sucked on the trails? You must be talking about something else because the trail grapplers are incredible on the trail and in mud. As for blowouts, while that can happen with any tire, many times it us due to running too low of pressure in them at higher speeds. And uneven wear is purely the result of negligent maintenance. Bad rotation schedules, out of spec alignments, and over or under inflation of the tires...

Just bought my second set for daughters Z71, 295/70/17, Got 65,000 out of the first set and never had a problem, they ride quiet on the road and worked very well on our off road trips. $270.00 per tire, mounted, balanced with tax.
