Sorry no Trail Grapplers here, but myself and a few others i know run the Terra Grapplers and really like them. They ride good and seem to have decent wear.

Awesome tire, quiet, great tread lugs, wicked sidebiters, and do they throw mud. I had more mud on my roof than in the fender wells

I'm looking for tires now and it is down to these three. 1. bfg km2, 2. toyo open county m/t, 3. nitto trail grabbers in 35x12.50x17. They say the nitto's balance out really easliy with few weights. I have a friend that has them on his cough, cough, FJ and he really likes them.

Yea, took a total of only 3 wheel weights for 4 tires.

Well, effectively Toyo and Nitto are the same company. They share tire compounds as well. The Toyo will physically weigh much more than the Nitto so you will feel a greater loss of power from them. They both have great tire compounds, with the added silica to the base rubber, you get a compound that is softer, but still wears well. The new MT/R also shares a similar compound now! That is why the new MT/R is so much better than the old one.

Hope that helps..

Thanks for the feedback everyone. Hey thombull, I am looking at the same three tires also. The light weight and road quietness I've been hearing about the trail grappler are making me lean towards them. Plus they look cool.
