Default no drop pitman arm w/ lift causing Death Wobble?

A friend bought an 07 Jeep wrangler rubicon and is having an issue with death wobble. We torque everything to spec had the wheels balanced. He didn't have an alignment done but plans on it.

Something I see is that he has a lift maybe 4in (he and I don't know) but its as tall as mine and thats what I have. His rig still has the oem pitman arm. I figured that might be the cause. I would think he needs a dropped pitman arm to align the steering linkage. Any thoughts?

That could be a cause, does he have adjustable control arms with 4", he should. At that hight, assuming he is running larger tires he probably needs to adjust is toe as well.

I didnt even think about that. He has fixed uppers and lowers front and rear. must have been a cheap lift? The drop pitman arm has already been orderd would he need to get the ajustable control arms upper and lower front and rear?

It is unlikely that the dropped pitman arm will cure the DW. However, it will improve bump steer.

Adjustable CA's will help correct the Caster angle. If low Caster is the cause of the DW then this will solve the problem. Many DW cases involve a faulty joint so just torquing everything is not enough. You need to carefully inspect joints, bushings and mount points.
