I've run that way for the better part of 18 months now. Just got to remember to clean under the hood and take it easy through deep water. I'll put them back in when I get over my lazy spell.

18 months is one hell of a lazy spell!

I persponally would not run without them, but I doubt it will really cause much issue other than getting your engine compartment dirty. I suppose you could possibly suck water in the intake easier without them during high water crossings.

I've been running without them for over 6 months and I haven't encountered any issues (knock on wood) heading out tomorrow to hit some trails .

No need for liners....just spray a good coat of rubberized rockerguard in the wheel wells....better than having crap trapped behind the plastic liners imo...

I run without them in the rear & just have them cut in the front. I like the protection of the motor, and it's pretty easy to cut them to work well, and fasten them at the back of the liner to keep them from flapping.

crappy pic, but it shows how the cut front fender looks... not spectacular, but it does the job it's supposed to do & doesn't flap around.

If I recall I put about 4 self tapping wafer heads in it, 2 at the lower back flap, and then two up top to keep it tight.

It's not gonna win a show, but it's not horrid either I don't think.

FWIW- I remember reading a thread like this awhile back and a lot of people said it dropped the under hood temp some which could be a plus I guess if you lived in hell?
