No muffler on my 2007 jk
jkuhl6, we are all here to help you.... not sure why you have to get so short with fellow members. I'm sure once other members who have a little more insight on running without the stock muffler read your post, they will chime in. Again, everyone is just giving their opinion as that is what this forum is for...
I say just do it, and if you like it, keep it that way. Will it harm your engine? NO I took my muffler off and put a 6" round 22" long magnaflow in line under the driver side rear seat location cause I didn't want to hear the noise so much. I still get a pretty good low rumble (sounds good to me) and it's a straight through design so I know there's not much restriction. Also I did not run a down spout off the exhaust pipe after removing the stock muffler and I never smell exhaust in my jeep.
Chopped mine off right in front of the rear axle, added a $25 cherrybomb glasspak tube exhaust from autozone, sounds awesome AND it's legal in Most states. and no voided warranty and not harmful to engine.
What issues will I run into if I have no muffler on my jk?
I like how it sounds, and I don't want to hear its illegal and that kind of stuff, I know that I'm just wondering if it will harm my engine? I have been told lack of back pressure is really bad?
What do y'all think?

The only real purpose of a muffler is to reduce the exhaust note coming out of your engine. Resonators do the same thing. They are just mini mufflers. A muffler/resonator produces little to no back pressure in the system. Most of the back pressure in the system is created by the cats and small diameter piping. So removing your muffler will not harm the engine in any way nor will it affect the emissions. Will you see an change in mpg or power? Not likely. I have never experienced any effects of having no muffler.
