Default No rear bumper?

Hey everyone I tried searching this topic but the search wasn't working for me, so here's what's going on. I live out here in Utah and needless to say I do a lot of rock crawling, I'm spending my money on skid plates and suspension so non left for bumpers. The front is going to receive a trim but the rear bumper, I think I'm just going to take it off (I really don't like the plastic). Anybody running without a rear bumper? Let me know what you guys think, thanks

On the 09, the rear bumper IS plastic, so it really doesn't matter whether you have it on or off, the protection is the same. I ran mine that way until I picked up the LoD bumper and tire carrier. I'm running 35's, and didn't want the tire on the rear gate (it started to make noise).

Thanks man, I'm thinking about just pulling it off for a while and see how I feel about it.

It will be fine unless someone rear ends you. That piece of plastic will help more than you think if you were to get hit

i plan on doing the same thing. running no rear bumper and getting the tramp stamp from poison spyder, then throw the spare in the back when im going out and may need it. im also looking into EVO D-rings for the rear, the cost is 150.00 for a set, maybe you might be interested as well? heres a pic!

Those evo d-rings do not sit flush though. You have to trim your rails a little to make them flush. But I really like the look of the naked rear end.

Default no bumper for 2 years

I don't run a bumper, I do have the EVO D-rings and I did trim the frame ends for a bit more of the flush look.
