Default No spare? WHY!

I've seen a lot of jk's running no spares. Why?!?!

Is it really the drop off angle why you're not running one?

Too cheap?

Looks better without?

Less weight?

Why?!?!?

Sometimes it's all of the above and sometimes personal preference...

real reason is some people just like to test fate lol. I could go 100,000 miles and never have a flat but the day I left my spare at home i for sure would get a flat. Kind of like packing rain gear on a motorcycle trip, the minute you leave it at home it rains like crazy for a week.

I think it's because they can't afford a bumper with a tire carrier. Those items that mount to stock tire carriers have bad reviews.

Around town I run no spare. On road trips or when offroad the spare is strapped inside the jeep. I have a JKU but don't run a rear seat so I have plenty of room for my spare, tools and spare parts inside. I run a 30lb rear stubby and love it. I like the look of no spare on the rear, the weight savings and visibility.

Those who never run a spare or only own 4 tires are pushing their luck.

Personally I like loosing 100 lbs. but also at the moment I can't afford a bumper/tire carrier. As soon as I can I will be running a spare on back

I was undecided on what bumper i wanted. Still undecided. Most are too big and heavy. Might go with the genright carrier
