Noise from adjustable track bar
I've been driving around for the last month sounding like I've been dragging a tin can underneath my JK. Back in December 2012 I had an adjustable track bar from Kevin's Off-Road installed on my Jeep. A local mechanic diagnosed the problem, using chasis ears, as coming from where the track bar bolts on to the axel. They worked on it for an afternoon and cannot seem to get rid of the noise. They tried lubing it up, tightening it, and putting in a slightly larger bolt, but the sound remains. If they unbolt the track bar, the sound is not there, so it's definitely the problem. Has anyone had this happen? If so, what'd you do to get rid of it?
I'm currently trying to contact Kevin's to see if I can get a new track bar, but I haven't heard back from them yet. I'm guessing the thing will still be under warranty. For now I'm just going to crank up the stereo so that I don't hear the noise, but I would like to get rid of it.
