Default Is this normal (stick through tire)

It's an old rotten juniper stick through the sidewall of my brand new good year MTRs with Kevlar!

If it was poking out in just the right direction and the wood was strong enough, I guess that can happen. Just bad luck.

Did you buy the replacement insurance I hope?

that's some strong kevlar lol you would think it would prevent that from happening. Well hopefully you can get goodyear to warranty it, or you have a good road hazard on them. Best of luck!

I did the same thing in Iraq years back on a GMV tire. Didn't think a stick would put out like that. I thought maybe a slow leak from a bullet maybe? Nope.

I've learned that sticks are worse then rock on side walls.

That's why buy at Discount Tire and get their free replacement certificate. Replace the tire for free, you just pay for the new certificate and balancing on the new tire.

I used to be a Tire man and saw some crazy things in tires. #2 pencil's, cactus thorn (yes all the way threw), bones, sun glasses and many many other strange thing's that have slipped my mind.
