Default NOrth Carolina jeep-type restrictions

Anyone know any NC specific jeep-type restrictions? For example the legality of running no side marker lights? I'm thinking of cutting my fender flares.

I asked NC inspection station and they said no fender restriction. I ended up doing Bushwacker with the lights. But I think you will be fine.

Side markers are there to prevent others from lane changing into you at night as well as being T-boned
Don't you think it would be a wee bit unfair to others by helping them collide into you
