Default Not a common choice, but what are your thoughts?

Like most, the search continues for the right balance between lift, ride and price.

You can tell by searching various forums that they tend to veer towards one or two brands.

I was checking out Rusty's not a common choice here, but I know they've been popular with Tj's and Xj's.

rustysoffroad.com/mm5/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=rustys&Product _Code=RK-325B-JK&Category_Code=JKKITS"

Seems like a good deal to me. Front and rear adjustable track bars, shocks, springs and disconnects. I know it doesn't have bump stops, but I'm not fooling anyone as I probably will have little to any true wheeling in my future. I'll be a road warrior and some beach dunes.

I also figured I'd run this with JKS Front Lowers

A quality ride is a concern of mine. I still really like the AEV lift, but I'm afraid it may look a hair too tall when running 35's. Then ther's a 2.5" Tera or OME...I'm still considering. But I'm also trying to manage what I'm getting with price. This is tougher than I thought.

Just reaching out for more opinions.

I have the teraflex 2.5 coil lift and like it. Install was pretty straight forward. The only thing I didn't like was the track bar relocation bracket for the rear. Simply put...it didn't fit. We used the template, but it was WAY off. Luckily my buddy knows how to weld so we were able to fill the hole we created and start over. Now though, I have a clunking sound in the rear and I'm pretty sure it's that bracket. If I can't get it to stop with torquing, I will buy an adjustable track bar as I have read that will fix it where I don't need to use the bracket. I like the ride quality and the price was great too, but I have to say that the bracket has caused me and a few others here some heartburn. It appears now that teraflex uses an axle mounted bracket similar to pro comp which seems to have fixed the issue.
Just my opinion.

I just threw on some Rusty's lower control arms since they were cheap and pretty beefy. When I got my arms, I was at first surprised about the joints and called them up to ask some questions. They told me they use factory rubber joints at the frame end to save money. the joints might be from another model Jeep like a Cherokee. the bolt hole in some arms might be steel rolled to form a sleeve and others that is a milled out solid piece. the other end is a flex joint that seems alright.

They are better than stock since they have a flex joint at one end... as far as other components, I can't comment. A TJ buddy of mine just had a full long arm kit installed. He loves it so far.

Don't know about the Rusty's on the JK's but as you said they were popular for the TJ's. You might want to consider longer rear sway bar links, move the rears to the front and adjustable front lower control arms to maintain caster. If you have a 2 door keep an eye on driveshafts.

I did the Teraflex 2.5" with OME shocks. I'm very happy with the lift and ride quality.

And the more I search the more I think the OME HD lift provides the perfect stance for a JKU with 35's.
OME Show Thread

I just wish the JKS control arms weren't so expensive.

5.5 is way too much lift for my needs, but glad to hear it came with everything for you.
