Default Not sure about offset, will this wheel fit?

I just got a really good deal on 5 285/70/17 Duratracs, need new wheels if im gonna get them tho. I know these wheels arent most of your guys' cup of tea but its all that I can find that I like and they're reasonably priced http://www.quadratec.com/products/92808_5XX_A_PG.htm . Will these fit my JK? I'm gonna be installing a TF leveling kit and I do have spidertrax spacers if I need them. The offset according to american racings site is -6 mm. There's also another set of wheels im looking at that are 17x8.5, 5 on 5, 4.75 backspacing and 0mm offset, will they fit? Any input is much appreciated, as long as I know they will fit with or without spacers im gonna pull the trigger on them ASAP.

4.50 backspacing is fine and 4.75 might call for wheel spacers. Offset is the point at which the flange/mounting pad is off of the center line of the wheel this is not as important as backspacing As for rim diameter you can go as
small as 15''with most rims without rubbing the calipers, or at least thats what i'm running with no problems.. 4wheeler made a pretty good write up on backspacing and offset but i cant post it because they are not
sponsored just google it

Good luck,
Chris

Adam....hope this helps

From this FAQ thread:

Q: What back spacing will I need on my wheels in order to clear 12.50 wide tires?

A: I would recommend that you do not exceed 4.75" of back spacing and even at that, you may still have some minor rubbing up front at a full turn. Also, I would recommend that you do not go any less than 3.75" as anything less would cause your tires to stick out very far past the fender flares. Any back spacing within this range should work out great.

You should be fine with the 4.75" BS as your tires are approx. 11.5" wide

Thanks dude! I'm gonna check out that thread then try to find some pics with the wheel tire combo I wanna go with. The Motor Vehicle law here apparently allows zero tolerance for tires sticking out past the flares/wheel wells etc. With the stock wheels and the 275/70/18 duratracs it didnt stick out too far even with the spacers but I dunno if I will get away with the 17" setup im shooting for lol.

Well...with my 33x12.50R17 Cooper STT's on a 17x8 rim with 4.5 BS my tires stick outside about 1/2" from the stock fenders....So in your case with 11.5 wide tire even with a 4.5"BS you may be even with the fenders...with your 4.75BS you should be under your stock fender flares as the rim is pulling that tire in closer to your suspension components.....Anything less than 4.5" and your tire will stick outside the fender flares.

This is a handy calculator to use when comparing to stock specs...

So many variables to keep in mind when it comes to this stuff, I keep thinking that 285/70/17's on wheels with 4.75 BS and 0 offset will rub so I keep factoring in 1.5" wheel spacers. I'm trying to keep in mind the leveling kit im putting on too.
