Default Notching Skid Plate

Just wondering what tool you guys are using to notch the skid plate, so the drive shaft doesn't hit it.

I used a pneumatic cut-off wheel.

Back when I had my stock skid and the RE 3.5", I used my 6" electric high speed grinder with a cut off wheel in it to notch it.
It cuts through metal like butter

Yeah, I was hoping the 4" Makita angle grinder I had would work with a cut off wheel. I've got to cut down my Rubi rock rails while I'm at it.
