Is anyone running 93 tune on 91 octane?

I know this should be a no no, but Superchips isnt leaving everything on the table so there should be some room for play.

When I had my mustang tuned we just loaded the 93 tune then added timing until it quit responding well.

I only ask because there is no longer anywhere to buy 93 in my area.

I run the 91 tune, it seems to get me slightly better mpg and performance. Things just seemed different when I went to the 87 tune.

87 performance tune with 87 fuel. No issues in the 500 miles I've had it so far.

In my wife's we loaded the 87 tune about 3k miles ago & it was a noticable improvement, but nothing earth shattering. I serviced it last weekend and since it was due a filter I went with the K&N & decided to try the 91 tune. I purposely did not mention it to my wife. She went & ran some errands. When she came back, the 1st thing she asked was what did I do to her Jeep. The change was very noticable to her, less downshifting more pep & on the 1st tankful she managed 30 miles farther before she needed a fillup. I've never had any pinging issues with either tune.

I think I will try the 93 but since can only get 91 octane will switch if ping becomes an issue. At least that is what I will do when Superchips releases something for mine.

I run the tow tune in ours. Changed from 87 performance to tow the same day the gears were installed. Don't know if the tow tune or the gears made the difference, but no more pinging.
