When I hit about 15-20 mph and right at 2000 rpms I first thought it was an exhaust rattle then maybe a heat shield but u can't figure it out.... Then someone said maybe the cat. Is going bad. Or maybe even a baffle we t out in the muffler. Any way to figure out what it is??? I've narrowed it down to the cat or the muffle baffle. It sounds just like a rattle im just not sure what it is.it's just a really annoying rattle!!!

No one has an idea? Maybe the Y pipe? If I replaced that would it fix it?

When mine was doing that on my tj, it was loose at the manifold to pipe connection. Outside of something being loose idk....

Don't have a clue what sound you are hearing but, when I swapped the Y-pipe on my 2012 for the AFE pipe, I was literally able to take half the screws off by hand because they were so lose...maybe that will give you something to check out

If it was just a loose bolts or something like that wouldn't it do it all the time not just at a certain point?

Not sure what year you have but my 07j jku was making that sound. It was the heat shield by the transfer case. It happened twice. Both times the welds cracked. They doubled it up this time.
