Default Odd spring and shock question

I know there's the thread on the strength of stock springs, and as far as I can tell, I have the highest rated springs you can get stock. However, they still dag with camping gear, people, bikes, tuffy trunk, bumpers etc.

But I'm wondering are there any heavy duty springs and shocks that don't give you much lift? I'm ok with and inch or two, and am still seriously considering the OME 2.5" HD kit. Of course, it doesn't hurt to know of any other options. I haven't seen any yet, but maybe you guys know.

talk to OME or david at northridge4x4 as he works with them a lot - OME makes a lot of springs and i'll be you can get a heavy duty stock height replacement coil. if you're just trying to hold up the rear end, you might want to consider air bags.

I have heard of air bags before, and honestly, after cutting my flares, I don't see much need for a real lift per se, expect for break over heights but I don't rock crawl much in Florida ....

Looks like I may have found a solution, if only temporary, it's still elegant and inexpensive!

Just talked to David. Sounds like I'm doing air bags first, then later doing OME kit and getting 35's instead of 33's ... Maybe :-p but the air bag solution works on the OME kit as well, so I can transfer them over but solve my problems now. or at least in theory....

Thanks!!!
