Default oem bumper and a winch

is this possible and worth my time and money. I'd want the ability to put the winch on a new bumper if I went that route one day.

My opinion the factory bumpers are junk. I'd buy a new bumper with a winch plate.

I think by the time you spend the money to buy the mounting plate for the factory bumper, you could get a new front bumper for just a little more

Default that is a sweet setup.

Love that bumper. I want more details on the side plates. How'd you do that?

I'm also planning on putting my winch on behind the factory bumper like that. I already have the plate. The stock bumper may not be the greatest, but sometimes you gotta save up for the stuff you want, like a nice new bumper!

If you can spend a little on a plate now and save for a nicer bumper later. Good plan - I get it. I'd love to see pics too.

It's the harbor freight universal plate. You have to turn it upside down and trim it a little to get it to fit flush on the frame rails. I attached it to the frame rails with a leaf spring u bolt install kit from auto zone. It comes with 4 u bolts. The winch is mounted upside down on the plate. I extended the winches control box wire and mounted it under the hood.

The end caps are just some scrap 1/8th aluminum plate. I mounted it with a small piece of angle in behind it.
