Default OEM Hitch

Confused as to where to put this It's an OEM hitch but I'm adding it on. I was wondering if anyone knew if they made a wiring harness for specifcally for the 2 and unlimited model. I wired it down through the tail light and stretched it out through the front just to see and it looked like it would be cutting it really close and I figured I'd ask before I got further and discovered it didn't fit. So if anyone could share some insight on this...and if anyone also had a better instillation write up it'd be great.

Thanks.

You can get a OEM wiring harness from your dealer, it's just plug n play. It plugs into the left tail light. About 40 bucks. Your best bet is to look at a JK that has a factory hitch and see how the harness is routed. it's not hard.

Yeah I appreciate the insight but I don't think you read that all the way or my grammar is just awful as the night the goes on. I was asking if it was possible if the wiring harness they gave me could be for a 2 door. After I ran it through my taillight and down I pulled it to the front of the jeep to see if it would fit and it looked like it was gonna be too short.

Default Your Grammar was awful

Hey Man,

Only after reading your second post did it make sense. I imagine, like just about everything else to do with a wrangler JK, there would be a 2 and 4 door model. Would be a pretty easy fix, but probably cheaper just to go to an after market trailer place and buy a new one.

Yeah I figured this would be a "couple of beers while I put it in install" and it just got way out of hand. Grammar is always the first to go. Haha, my buddy came over and we kind of forgot the main purpose of the night. I reread it, and yeah that was awful. I'm gonna run by the dealership tomorrow and see what they have to say regarding the matter. Thanks for the help and sticking with me while I attempted to explain.
