Default OFF-ROAD ONLY BIAS opinions...

I have a 3.21 geared '07 6-speed x with just over 2.5" of lift on my Skyjacker kit. I run 32" Rubicon take-offs on the street- cant beat $300/set for take offs.

I want to invest in a set of bias ply, AGGRESSIVE tires on 15" wheels. Since I will be in 4L0w anyway, I think I could take advantage of a 35 or 36 inch tire with a 13-14.5 tread width.

I do mostly trails, and I love mud and off-camber climbs with my open diffs... So I am eyeballing a set of Boggers actually, or TSL's that all the Toyota guys run. No braces or anything, all factory running gear.

Opinions and thoughts please?

offroad only? i'd want even deeper gearing than 3.21.

i have 4.88's and 33's in a 6spd and wished i had even lower gears when im playing on rocks (yes i am in 4lo). you think those rock crawlers are running 3.21s? LOL

Yeah...my point of this thread is to get opinions on the MOST AGRESSIVE TIRE/SIZE to run while offroad only with my CURRENT setup.

do you think going 33x14.50x15 would be better for trails and bogs?

For what you've described, BOGGERS. Nobody makes a bias ply off road only mud tire like interco. I didn't check your profile but I'm in the Deep South which is mud country. And if its off road only mud terrain, it's boggers, TSL's

Okay... I have a stock axle/gear setup. I figure 4low will make up for the gear somewhat, but its all i can do this year.

What size should I get? I originally was thinking 33x14.50s but ive read for deep mud i will regret not going taller. So 35-36" for trail/4LOW ONLY?

another vote here for super swampers. Look into the LTB though, it's just like the TSL but with more tread. My brother has been running them on his CJ5 for a few years now and couldn't love them more. However, they are really stiff...he runs them at about 3-5psi on the trail.

Okay, I am in that Texas mud and black clay so ltb and tsl sound right... section width? Would a 33x14.5 get me farther than say a 35x12.50?
