Default Offroad Hero Top Owners. Any modifications done to the top?

Hey fellas,

I keep going back and forth over this top. I have an Offroad Hero Cargo top on my 10a Rubicon. Love the way it looks. My only problem with the top is that I believe the top is an earlier configuration to where the front half of the top had to be rolled forward, and the back half stays put. This is my only dislike on the top as I want to be ale to take the top off whenever I would like, as well as be able to put something back on if it rains.

Has anyone modified their top and taken the top part out and replaced it with a bikini top of some sort? I am at the point where I think I am going to just take the top off and try to sell or trade it for a Trektop NX.

Pic as reference

i had the trektop and did not like it since the piece that is over the rear seat stays on permanently and the cross bars stay on all the time. Then i bought the ORH and I love it. Yes you have to roll forward the front one but it is totally out of the way. You can take which ever panels off that you llike and because they are soft, you can place them in the rear.

My top wont let me do anything with the rear. There is nothing I can do with it, which bothers me.

I have the fastback version so maybe they are different in how they work. I just assumed the top parts would be the same

Just put on my orh cargo top this past Saturday after I finally received it last week
U still have to roll the front panel forward but the back panel comes completely off
And the rest of the panels should remove easily
I love it so far and I hope this helps

Ah you must have got a recent revision. I am jelly.

May see if there is any interest in trading this top for an NX, just not sure how I can tell it's an NX over the regular.

Before you trade , make sure you see how the trektop works . You may decide you like the ORH top better.

Update:

Finally, the wait is over:

Rampage Products Trailview Jeep Wrangler JK Pickup Conversion Soft Top. (Factory Half Door Compatible)

Although not listed on their site, or any of their retailer sites, they have been talking about this top for some time on their Facebook page. No longer will we have to wait or deal with the poor customer support as offered by OffRoadHeros. Just another item being written on our ever growing list of future purchases.

I bought a used one a few months ago and it leaks like a waterfall from water getting into the top speaker housing. Is there a gasket that goes in between the top panels in the C channel lock or something?
