Im looking at upgrading from stock to Fuel Trophy wheels. I'm staying with the 17", but they come in two backspacings, 4.5 and 5. I had changed to 33" tires and get some rub when I turn and want to eliminate that. My last jeep I just used spacers but I want all new wheels this time. Thanks

If there is a question in there somewhere, I would guess it is asking which BS would be better. The 4.5" would be the way to go. You can probably go to 35's with that BS and have minimal to no rubbing.

Yea guess it wasn't very clear. You answered what I was looking for, wanted to know which backspacing to go with to prevent rubbing

Thanks

Either would work for 33's, but the 4.5" will move the tires out a bit further, and will be better if you decide to move up to 35's in the future.

And if you open the threads stuck to the top of this modified area, backspacing information is listed in both...

I run 35x12.5 on 4.5" backspacing with flatties and have no rubbing whatsoever. However, I removed my plastic splashguard when I installed my bumper and I have read of one person hitting the splashguard with the same size wheels and backspacing.
